Dirt Nap City
Who Was Jim Henson?
Jim Henson captured the imagination of the world with his innovative cross between marionettes and puppets, which he called "muppets". From Kermit the Frog, to Miss Piggy, to the rock star drummer Animal, the Muppets became part of American culture. But who was the man behind the Muppets?
Did you know that Jim Henson was involved in many other programs beyond Sesame Street and The Muppet Show? He directed the film The Dark Crystal in 1982 and Labyrinth, which featured David Bowie, in 1986. In this episode of Dirt Nap City, we explore the life of Jim Henson and the impact that his imagination had on the world.
